Is it too late for a short July wrap up?
Hopefully not, as July was a pretty good reading month for me (and that includes dropping off-radar for a week at the end of July/beginning of August for a big house move). I’m now happily settled into my new home and looking forward to a proper summer of reading, blogging and finding more books!
So let’s look at some stats …
Total Number of Books Read: 8
Total Number of Pages: 2406
Number of ARCs: 7
Number of Physical Books: 1
Number of e-Books: 0
Five Star Reads: The Song of Achilles, This is How You Lose the Time War, Gods of Jade and Shadow
Four Star Reads: The Rage of Dragons, Beneath the Surface, The Aunt Who Wouldn’t Die
Three Star Reads: The End of the Line
Two Star Reads: The Little Bookshop at Herring Cove
One Star Reads: None!
Highlight of the Month: This is How You Lose the Time War – it was clever, snarky, romantic, incredibly imaginative and, as it was such a short and punchy book, I would happily read it again!
I also participated in my first blog tour, for Gods of Jade and Shadow, which I had really enjoyed reading.
I would also add Song of Achilles to that – it was such a pleasure to finally sit down, read it and experience the magic of the story for myself.
In all, a pretty good month – and plenty more to aspire to in August!
